Rice Ball charity event, November 2017

Our Japanese students from Kyoto Gakuen Junior and Senior High School asked if they could hold a charitable “Onigiri” (rice ball) event with the proceeds going to a non-profit organisation called Table for Two that provides meals for children in need.

The event celebrated World Food Day Campaign 2017 and involved the production of some typical Japanese Rice Balls. Photos were then taken of students/staff eating them and submitted to Table for Two to raise monies.

Around 60 – 70 students and staff attended the event and in total 46 photographs were submitted to the Table for Two website
